Saw Shrek 2 last night and it's hilarious. There were lots of references to other movies, pop culture, and etc which resulted in chuckles. I think I will probably rent the dvd, too, just for the outtakes. Plot-wise, I didn't feel it was as good as the first one but with all the attention to detail and great comedy, it was a lot of fun.
I really loved how prince charming was voiced by Rupert Everett (I didn't know this before hand) which is hilarious because the prince is this fluff-headed vainglorious pretty-boy. (Not the squeek squeek high voice type of pretty boy) I could see the prince smooching himself in the mirror. And anyhow, Rupert Everett is awesome.
Anyhow. Lots of fun on the big screen. If you're looking to see something funny, consider Shrek 2. If you're pondering what to see and care about your money expediture and big screen experience, perhaps see Troy (Van Helsing isn't worth the full price. Saw that last week).
